Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Abby Dallas grew up in the sunny town of Portmore, where from the age of 6 she was exposed to music through her Church, School and Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Sponsored Events. Time and time again, Abby was recognized for her outstanding vocal talent that culminated in a scholarship to the premier music college in Jamaica, the Edna Manley College of Performing and Visual Arts, where she gained a diploma in Music Performance.
Abby has been writing, arranging and recording songs and has gained the respect of Jamaicans through hit songs and touring with International Artists like Diana King and Tanya Stephens. She has also done session and backing work with accomplished talents like Dean Fraser, Shaggy, Queen Ifrika, Mavado and Yellowman. Her easy going and relaxing style, which often reminds one of Nina Simone, makes her a favourite on the Cabaret and Jazz circuits as well as National Gala Events.
Abby has experimented with various genres and received acclaimed success with her debut EP which displayed her renowned versatility with a mix of lovers rock, gritty dancehall tunes, pop infused singles and traditional reggae roots. Her focus going forward is to continue to thrill her audience with a combination of contemporary and classical hits, while developing and refining her inimitable style so admired by her fans.
